X-Men's James Marsden Talks About Tye Sheridan Taking Over Cyclops Role

It looks like the young actor who's set to take over the role of Cyclops has the OK from one important person - James Marsden. Of course, Marsden portrayed Cyclops in the 2000 superhero saga 'X-Men', as well as three other movies, but no more.

When 'X-Men: Apocalypse' opens in 2016 it'll be Tye Sheridan donning the ruby quartz visor. Here's what Marsden told HitFix about Sheridan's casting -

"I think he's a wonderfully talented actor who blew me away in Mud. I've never seen a kid that young be that present and that powerful. So, I think he's a perfect fit and I congratulate him." - James Marsden

As for Sheridan, he spoke to The Hollywood Reporter - saying 'X-Men: Apocalypse' starts shooting this summer.
