Disney/Marvel
Just a quick update on +Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.  - In an upcoming episode we'll finally meet Agent Coulson's girlfriend, Audrey (the cellist mentioned in 'The Avengers'). Amy Acker (currently on the +CBS drama +Person of Interest) will play the mystery lady in Coulson's life. The actress chatted with marvel.com and offered her thoughts about the Audrey/Coulson relationship.

###

"There’s a lot of talk [in the episode] about how it was when they were together. I think that one of the biggest things that they keep bringing up when she talks about him is how he made her laugh, and just the trust that she had for him. I [don’t] think anyone would have a hard time falling in love with Coulson, there’s probably a long line of people with that already. It just seems like they really had a real, honest connection. I know it sounds cheesy, but [they] really [had] a soulmate-type vibe."

###

Also announced recently - Patrick Brennan will appear in Episode 18, which carries the title 'Providence'. Brennan will play a villainous character right out of Marvel Comics - Marcus Daniels AKA Blackout. Daniels is described as having the ability to "...suck the energy out of anything around him." Here's what Brennan had to say about Blackout in an interview with marvel.com.

###

"It’s just rare to have a character that’s [this] interesting. There’s just something to it. I’ve been working pretty steady here for the last three or four years, and then this bit came along and it was so empathetically explained to me. Not to sound all actor-y on you, but I identified with the character. I don’t know how you feel, [with knowing] the character and all, but I identified with the character very much. I got to play a villain with a heart and superpowers. It was just a thrill."

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - New Promo Pic Of Deathlok

Disney/Marvel
Check out a brand new pic from +Marvel Entertainment showing J. August Richards in his new persona as the cyborg assassin, Deathlok. The series has been on hiatus for three weeks, but +Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns on Tuesday, April 1 with episode 16 - ominously titled 'End of the Beginning'.

I'm really interested to see how Deathlok is involved in the final episodes of Season 1. Will he eventually switch teams and work for S.H.I.E.L.D. or remain an outside threat?

Oh, and just a heads up - the April 8 episode 'Turn,Turn,Turn' is rumored to have a tie-in with the movie 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' (opening April 4).

Disney/Marvel
The annual television fan festival known as PaleyFest took place in L.A. on Sunday (3-23-14), and +Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had the spotlight. While everyone involved with show was careful not to offer any spoilers, they did drop one nugget. According to thewrap.com, executive producer Jeph Loeb hinted at a 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' connection to an upcoming episode -

###

“It makes sense. It would certainly not surprise anyone if things did happen from the movie (CA:TWS) that we're mentioning on the show that we're talking about (AoS).”

###

Even though Loeb avoided saying it outright, it sounds like the movie tie-in episode will air on April 8. For evidence, check out the Tweet below from one of the reporters in attendance.
