Yep, it looks like a couple of 'X2: X-Men United' writers are helping to pen the script of the 2016 movie that'll see the mutant team battle its greatest foe - Apocalypse. The Tweet mentions Simon Kinberg - the writer/producer whom Fox recently brought on to oversee its X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises. Singer also gives a shoutout to writers Dan Harris and Mike Dougherty, who co-wrote 2003's 'X2'.
Since X2 is regarded as one of the best superhero movies ever, this is definitely welcome news.
