Elizabeth Olsen is on the interview trail promoting her current movie 'Oldboy', but she's also fielding questions regarding another upcoming role. You might recall Marvel confirmed that the 24 year-old actress will play Wanda Maximoff AKA Scarlet Witch in 2015's 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'.

Well, now that it's official, Olsen is able to speak a little more freely about her thoughts on the role. It sounds like she's already doing some research on the hex-casting superhero and long-time Avenger (at least in the comics lore).

Olsen spoke to AICN recently, and chatted about what is surely her biggest role so far. Here's what she had to say when asked about Scarlet Witch -

"I never read these comics before, not Scarlet Witch. She's nuts, she's crazy. She has more things wrong with her than any character I've ever played. She can tell you where an object has been, she can tell you what your future is, she can connect with the dead and people from other universes, and she's the only person in this universe who's capable of doing that. She's unbelievable; it's so cool. I grew up loving STAR WARS and LORD OF THE RINGS, and anything that has this other type of world or universe to it is so fun."

'Avengers: Age of Ultron' is set to begin filming in early 2014 and is targeted for a May 1, 2015 opening. Olsen will be joined in the highly anticipated follow-up to 'The Avengers' by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who'll play her brother - the super-fast Pietro AKA Quicksilver. Also new to the Marvel franchise is James Spader, who's signed on to portray the villain - the killer android, Ultron.

Let me know what you think about Elizabeth Olsen playing Scarlet Witch!
