It's been awhile since anything newsworthy about 'Guardians of the Galaxy' surfaced, so I just wanted to post this quick update. Karen Gillan, who plays a character called Nebula in the movie, spoke to Total Film recently and had a couple of interesting things to say about the collection of strange characters in the superhero space epic.

While everybody's familiar with the roster of the Avengers, the same can't be said for the ragtag group that makes up the 'Guardians'. In the interview, Gillan shed some light on who these guys are and how they're different from Tony Stark and the gang.

Here's what Gillan said about the cast of characters in 'GotG' -

###

"all the heroes, everybody [in the movie] is a bad guy. There's just good guys within the bad guys."

###

Okay, so that pretty much confirms that 'GotG' will be way different from the vibe in 'The Avengers'. Sounds like the movie will be chock full of anti-heroes, and we all know that bad guys with a heart of gold are usually the most interesting characters. Check out the interview below, courtesy of Total Film.

Synopsis

"A jet pilot gets stranded in space, and must unite a diverse team of aliens to form a squad capable of defeating cosmic threats." - IMDb

'Guardians of the Galaxy' hits theaters on August 1, 2014.
