Snikt!
The Wolverine is six months away from opening day - July 26 - and we have precious little info on what Wolvie's solo adventure will look like. Yeah I know we had some on-set spy pics late last year, but I'm talking official stuff from Fox. I guess we'll have to wait until March 29 to get our first look at the trailer when it debuts with G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Right now, the main info on the movie has been courtesy of its director, James Mangold. Like several other directors of upcoming superhero movies, he's been Tweeting behind-the-scenes pics (only 4 so far). You can check out the pics of star Hugh Jackman and the impressive Japan locations in the 30 second video below.
Be sure to scroll down after the video for more Wolvie-related pics.
Movies That Inspired The Wolverine
Mangold did something really cool besides sharing those on-set pics - on March 2, he Tweeted ten images that represent the movies that either inspired or influenced the making of The Wolverine. The pics are an interesting mix of genres - Crime, Samurai, and Westerns. I hate to say it, but I would've failed if this was an exam. I only knew 5 out of the 10 flicks. Looks like I'll have to update my Netflix queue and do some homework before Wolvie opens on July 26.
How many of the titles can you name?
I'm posting images from films that inspired / influenced THE WOLVERINE. Name the movies. Even better, go see them. twitter.com/mang0ld/status…
