Check out this video I stumbled across, called 21st Century Superheroes - created by Paolo Kalalo. I can't believe it's been on YouTube a whole year and I'm just now discovering it. This is not your average fan-made movie tribute that just randomly throws some action scenes together. No, this compilation of great scenes from the last decade of superhero movies is a work of art. 


What sets this video apart from the herd of other fan-made clips is the obvious care and thought that was put into it. Notice how the action is beautifully synced to the music, and how dialogue from one film is matched to scenes from another. I also loved how the maker of this clip even includes scenes from less-than-stellar movies, such as Catwoman and Ghost Rider. Watching 21st Century Superheroes reminded me that almost every recent superhero movie, regardless of its overall quality, had at least a few scenes with jaw-dropping visual and special effects. To me, that's why videos like this could qualify as art - because it makes me look at something in a new light.
