What if Marvel Let Tim Burton Draw The Avengers?

Remember that time Tim Burton drew The Avengers and Marvel Studios almost gave him the director's job for the movie version? Nah, it didn't happen for real, but artist Xenia Rassolova imagined what the characters might've looked like in these two drawings of "Earth's Skinniest Heroes".

Rassolova's drawings surfaced on the internetz today, just in time for Marvel's The Avengers Blu-ray/DVD going on sale. Kudos to Xenia for a spot-on Burtonesque likeness of the movie superheroes (and Loki). The drawings are cool, but I'm glad Marvel went with Joss Whedon as the mastermind of The Avengers. My brain couldn't handle two hours of sad Tony Stark.
